ETHC3310 : Ethics and Social Responsibility

In Ethics and Social Responsibility, students will analyze ethical theories and contemporary ethical issues. Students will learn about ethics and ethical reasoning, religion and global ethics, ethical relativism, egoism, and altruism. Students will examine utilitarianism and deontological theory and the history behind them. Students will then examine contemporary ethical issues as they relate to ethical theory including; abortion, euthanasia, violence and war, animal and environmental ethics, biotechnology and bioengineering and economic justice.
