NRSG3418 : Community Nursing & Public Health

This course is designed to stimulate the student’s critical thinking and analytic skills related to the community’s health and the public’s health concerns in the country. This course will identify how the various roles of the school nurse, home health nurse and other public health nurse roles positively impact the health of the child, family, community and overall population through ongoing education of the population and its stakeholders. The student will analyze the roles of the nurse as an advocate, educator, policy influencer and leader in public health using evidence based research.
