NRSG3493 : Maternal Child Nursing and Applications

This course provides foundational tools for the assessment and care of the pregnant woman and neonate, with an emphasis on evidence-based care and family-centered nursing. The nursing process will provide the framework for assessment of healthy pregnancies and deliveries, as well as common complications that may occur during pregnancy, delivery, and the neonatal period.  This course provides clinical opportunity to acquire and practice skills related to maternal and neonatal nursing practice. Prerequisites: NRSG1211, NRSG1351, NRSG1352, NRSG3320, NRSG1331, NRSG1960, NRSG2872, NRSG2271, NRSG2882, NRSG2380
