POFM1202 : Externship II

Building on the skills from Externship I, this course provides an advanced virtual learning experience, focusing on independent problem-solving, workflow efficiency, and professional readiness. Students will enhance their expertise in Electronic Health Records (EHR) management, medical insurance billing and coding, revenue cycle management, and patient financial services.  Through interactive simulations, students will gain hands-on experience in processing insurance claims, managing accounts receivable, reconciling remittance advice, appealing claim denials, and handling patient billing and collections. Additionally, students will prepare for employment by creating an online resume and developing job-readiness skills. This course ensures students are equipped to transition into their externship or healthcare careers with confidence.
