PSYC1310 : General Psychology

This course provides a general overview of the field of psychology. The scientific nature of psychology and the sociohistorical evolution of the field are reviewed. Students will study the themes and theories related to understanding human behavior. Students will be able to use the skills and knowledge gained in this course in their future classes, the work place, and in their personal relationships. This course will provide a better understanding of human learning and behavior which will lead to success in future classes.

PSYC1320 : Human Growth & Development

This course discusses all stages in the life span from infancy through late adulthood. A discussion of cultural considerations, types of families, changes affecting modern families and family patterns, and qualities of functional families will be included.

PSYC3320 : Abnormal Psychology

This course will identify and explain the risk factors, symptoms, and treatments of psychological disorders. Students will explore a wide variety of psychological disorders, historical treatment of these disorders, and the legal/ethical issues involving mental health.
